i've been talking to the family lately about my car and me having no job, and it seems like the best thing is to sell my impreza and get something cheaper. or at least something that i wont need to spend a good chunk of money to keep it moving. for once what they are saying makes sense, so im going to roll with it. so after getting some cheap seats and a good trunk i'll post it up. so it looks like i'll be out of the subaru game for alittle while. but not for too long, these things are fun -Ian
What are you going to get that is cheaper than a 95 L ? How can you be sure it won't have more problems? Unless your car is leaving you stranded places I think you got some bad advice.
The EJ22# engines are the most reliable engines I've seen. It's on par with the older Honda and Toyota engines. Change the oil and keep coolant in it and it will run forever.
What a biased statement Honda fanboi. Most ANY car will last forever if you leave them stock and maintenance them right but hey what's the fun in that? I know some 2.2L Ej's go thru some crazy stuff and last FOREVER. Look at WJM's car. I know for a fact that he has 'tried' to kill his car within reason and it just won't die. I believe that thing is nearing 300K.
How can you get cheaper than a GC? Moped? I have bought 2 and both were just over a grand. keep that car!!!
How much cheaper can you get than a 95 L ? Jumping into a car payment or throwing down 3-5K for a car is not saving money when you have one thats paid for. Assuming you dont owe anything on the L hnoes: ..
Every day. Multiple times a day. 288,7xx miles right now. The list of replaced parts due to age/failure is VERY short. The list of original parts from the production line is VERY VERY long.
lol ok i ment cheaper to get going good. i know something is worng with my tranny. it grinds and sometimes you can feel something is floating around in there. and the engine is knocking, wasnt bad at first but its more noticeable now, well at least to me. its just too much trouble then what its worth to either get a good 2.2/2.5L AWD set up or even search for what i need to get my 1.8L FWD combo not so messed up. i've been looking around it looks like its gunna set me back about $1500-$2000 for everything. which is more then i have right now,
