Ugh, this thing is frustrating. My application is a V8 JDM sti TMIC without the sti y-pipe(using the stock wrx one) on an 05 WRX with a VF39. It sits on the bracket and throttle body fine unlike what the USDM wouldn't.

The stock wrx y-pipe however is maybe a 1/2" too short and i couldn't bolt it up at the right angle. I tried to hack it at the bottom and put a silicone coupling and it leaks like a bitch, i cant even build 8psi...

Now, the USDM sti pipe + intercooler comes with that aluminum cast pipe + hose, but it is 1" too short on the wrx b/c of the location of turbo i assume. NASIOC shows you how to buy a different elbow to fix.

What i'm guessing here, is that an aftermarket hose such as samco meant for the wrx IC will be sufficient for the JDM IC, or will i still need to extend it as you would for the USDM? I was under the assumption the JDM piece was just bolt up.
