    Job Summary:
    ICF seeks a Database Developer to be part of a team developing, enhancing and maintaining a database and application used for performance monitoring activities for the evaluation of federally funded public health programs. This position will interface directly with clients as well as technical team members.
    This position supports a 5-year project focused on monitoring and evaluation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Community Transformation Grant initiative and/or other evaluation projects.

    The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with relational database design including data normalization; query design and Structured Query Language (SQL); as well as programming skills. Candidates should have experience collaborating with technical and non-technical groups to define system requirements.
    This is a full-time position in Atlanta, GA. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance to be considered for this position.
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and development of database components, user-interfaces and code to meet the client objectives of public health program evaluation, policy analysis, technical assistance tracking and progress monitoring.
    • Apply database and programming technology to create new solutions to meet program needs.
    • Will provide support both internally to ICF’s monitoring and evaluation or other project teams and externally to CDC project officers and program management staff.

    Qualifications


    Qualifications:

    •Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relevant exp or High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience
    •Knowledge of VBA and Access – a skills test will be given.
    •Knowledge of the fundamentals of relational databases (how to organize information into tables, how to create keys and relationships between tables, how to query a database).
    •Knowledge of basic SQL and a desire to learn more.
    •Expertise with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) required.
    •Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance to be considered for this position.
    Preferred Skills / Experience:

    •Experience with SQL Server or another enterprise class Relational Database Management System (RDMS).
    •Experience with any additional programming language(s).

    i guess when you look at the job title and ask, what does that mean? its safe to say you're not qualified....haha
