Mclaren announced today that JPM is officially out of Team McLaren and relieved of his driving duties. He is headed to Miami to spend time with him family before he starts Nascar is 2007. Pedro De La Rosa will be filling in for the rest of the season. Read more http://www.planetf1.com/News/Story_Page/0,15909,3210_3213_1326866,00.html
he used to be good but over time it seems like he has lost passion for the sport... his moves seem impulsive and not well calculated like the better drivers... hope he does well in nascar ps: amol, u probably need to edit your signature image now
I bet he will waffle for awhile like Tony Stewart did at first...maybe focus on NASCAR, but drive the occasional open wheel race...
Not maybe, he is going to Nascar and driving for Chip Ganassi's team. Its on F1 and chip's webpage too http://www.chipganassiracing.com/
Good decision for JPM, but it's a shame that Mclaren put de la Rosa in...he's a bit on the crap side. They should have put their other Test Driver in, Paffet, or maybe given Lewis Hamilton a shot.
Well both Paffett and Pedro top the charts when they go testing but thats in testing. Pedro has been part of a F1 race before while I dont believe Paffet has raced in F1 yet so Pedro is more experienced.
V.True...although Pedro (imho) has failed to impress generally in races. Mclaren don't really have a chance of winning the constructors or the drivers titles now (they might mathematically i suppose), so if I were Ron (which I am definitely not I have more hair), I would use the rest of the season to try out the newbies and see how they go. That might be his intention anyway, and they might just be putting Pedro in for the next race or 2 and then try the others. But I would love to see someone like Paffet or Hamilton get a real go.
I read somewhere that Gannasi ruled out JPM driving the double of the Coca-Cola 400 and the Indy 500...but I can't find that news article now. Doesn't mean he won't drive an Indy car at some point I guess...but with the Nascar season being longer than a python run through a wringer, I don't think he will
Danica Patrick is looking for a ride in Nascrap as well. Also, Toyota will debut a car in Winston Cup. Next year will be interesting.
Nascar is where the money is in American motosport. It may be as interesting to watch as watching paint dry, but most people who watch it don't have the brain power to enjoy good stategy like what you have in road racing. JPM went to Nascar because he could not get a new ride in F1, CART, IRL, etc. Danica is trying cause she has no sucess in IRL and the buzz around her is gone. She is an attention whore that can't drive. She only got the buzz she got cause she is an attractive woman. I hope her exposure allows for more women drivers to get in to the top ranks. Hopefully some that can actually win against "the boys".
I had to post this. Michael makes some fucked up facial expressions and does some weird poses during soccer. http://www.grandprixgames.org/read.php?3,482658,page=3 "Michael lets out a sly fart and hopes no-one notices, but Ralf seems to have picked up the scent" "When asked to point to or touch the biggest sticky-out bit on their face, the Schumacher brothers duly oblige"
Translated : - Hey Kimi. Someone just delivered some boxes of Johnny Walker for you. WITH SATO WITH BARICHELLO I like this one andf these...
Did anyone besides me happen to hear David Coulthard, Christian Klien and Ron Dennis diss' Montoya on the French Grand Prix pre race show. Apparently everyone mentions his love for McDonalds and getting fat. Ron Donnis actually walked away when they asked about him
