I'd say yes. Do a hard reset, or one that clears everything. You'll have to reset the FM presets if you have a factory stereo but it's worth it to ensure the ECU does the best it can.

i doubt u need a hard reset... just disconnect the battery, step on the brake pedal for 5 seconds and reconnect the battery

i ran my short ram just fine without reset.. why is reset important??

 

since the ECU is adaptive, it learns to run as well as it can with the current setup... if u change something then it could run wierd... if u reset, it starts somewhat conservative and tries to converge to the best state for that setup...

obviously the adaptability is limited, hence after a set of mods, u need a tune
