Kartboy bushing:1 Me:0

After an intense and epic battle, the bushing won. I could not get the shifter bushing out for the life of me. I tried all the methods on Scoobymods. I even tried some other methods involving hammers and chisels and screwdrivers. Looks like there will be another person joining the install day =(

 

I have felt your pain. I destroyed the stock one to get it out. You pretty much have to cut it (and yourself numerous times..) I bled more getting that bushing out than other thing I have done. Good luck!

 

Yeah I'm going to try again and again until I completely rip that sucker out.

are you talking about the peice around the shifter ball?

 

i had no problem with mine :dunno slid right out but then again i did it right at 3000 miles

 

I had no problem putting one on my wife's old 04 wrx. I can help you look at it at install day if you want.

Powerdrills work very well on this. IT'S OUT!!! Muahahahaha!!
I completely destroyed the stock bushing to get it out. Got the new one in and it feels pretty good. Even better since the taste of victory sweetened it even more.
