Lag and spooltime with other turbos

    Just want some comments on this...

    Seems like bone stock a WRX (non-STi) will start making 'good power' around 3500RPM or so. With UP/DP closer to 3000.

    For those of you with VF39s, 34s, 30s, 22s, 18Gs...whatever... where do you really start getting into the 'strong' powerband? I know it's somewhat subjective, but would like an idea of how much various aftermarket turbos will alter the band...

    my "stock vf-39" is at max torque around 3600 rpms

    Disregarding torque peak, when do you really *feel* that it starts pulling decently?

    it puts u iback in the seat around 3000

    but remember the ecutek improved it to that

    but you also have half a liter more than us lowly wrxers :wtc:. it will be a little bit different for us.

    my vf22 throws you back in the seat around 3800 and keeps you there till redline ;)

    GT30R closer to 5000 , but hold on when it get there

    18g about 4000

    My little VF29 pulls really hard from 3 grand up to about 5 or 6 where it just cannot flow enough.
