hey guys and girls. i was wanting to see what a silver wrx would look like with blue lamin-x on the headlights and black lamin-x on the tail lights. ive tented tail lights before and i love it but it was a spray and not a film. Is there a write up somewhere that tells you how too apply the lamin-x? a DIY maybe?
well i have hids and they are pretty bright. i didnt think blue would be that wbad for the light output and i thought it would look good with silver
It's your car but anything colored will kill the light output hid or not. However the blue lights I don't like. But again it's your car.
I am not a fan of putting colored tint on headlights, I prefer just clear protective tint. However, if you are choosing blue you need to be concerned that it may put you at risk for a ticket. Super blue lights are a no-no according to the police. I have tinted most years for the Impreza and would be happy to walk you through it. What is your MY?
going on what Alex says, blue is illegal if it's above the bumper. Below the bumper, it's iffy, at best
I had the yellow laminex on my foglights on my old wrx. It's still on them and still looks good. But I would put anything over the headlights. And if you do the tails, make sure you don't go too dark as that is a ticket magnet as well
the laminix film, you could paint but thats messy. and requires you to take the fogs out and put them back in. the film just applies over a cleaned surface and is pretty thick and somewhat protective
Ultimately you want to use this type of film not for aesthetics but for protection. It is the same idea as the clear bras.
$24 for just my fogs, that's all i want anyways. maybe sidemarkers later but i'll post pics of the fogs?? Hope it looks good.
