I wrecked my car last night. going from 285 S to 20 E as i hit the concrete on the ramp I lost the back end tried to save it and ende up in the gaurdrail. damage as i know so far 1) dented trunk, front and rear bumbers, DS side skirt 2) broken fuel line near rear axel 3) damaged exhaust as fo everything else underneath ill look at it today, fix the ful line and hopefully drive it to SoG and see what itll take to fix it. Bottom line always be alert... i wasnt pushing my car at all just cruzing home. driving very MPG friendly just trying to get home before i had to refill... and this s*** happens.... :wtc: :wtc: :wtc: :wtc:
That sucks! I usually haul a$$ thru that corner ~80+mph. Was it raining or something? SoG should take good care of you. I'll should be getting service there this week, so I'll keep an eye out for your car.
yeah damage dosent seem to bad i still need to figure out a way to get it to Sog its just frustrating thats all
do u have real stiff swaybars? was it real cold outside? last week, i slid my car some on the ramp from 85N to 285W... i usually haul ass on that ramp but this time i did a bit of a 4 wheel drift... luckily i never push the car too hard so i was able to catch it... think im gonne blame it on the cold weather glad ur ok though... hope u get the car fixed soon
yeah i have the cusco sway bars... the back is on the middle setting. Its weird how it all hapened though, i still dont know what caused it... it didnt feel like it was sliding at all i was cruzing at like 55 maybe 60... and the back end started ... being so used to driving a camaro i lifted and..... well you know the rest.
Do you happen to have Subaru Roadside? That's how I got my car towed to SoG after the small engine fire
oh i didnt think about that.. ill call them and see whats up.\ update on the damage.. ruptured fuel cell hole in the driverside floor in the back seat goodbye to my strumung catback and the rocker arm on the driver side is done talked to allstate and if i file trhough them my insurance is going to go up like 100-150/mnth for three years... so it looks like im paying for it out of my a##
first, i'm glad you're okay, and sorry this will cost a lot to fix, but you have your health. 1ll-wrx, depending on the suspension setup, and bar setup, you can get a "tricky" rear end that will lose traction pretty unexpectedly. i think sway bars in general take more of the body roll out of the chasis and puts more of that energy into the tire itself. i've noticed a good bit of inheirent slide when i don't let the tires warm up a bit, and the roads are cooler so it's an additive effect. of course i've had half a bottle of sake so this may make no sense at all lol
oh....that makes sense, thanks bro...can't wait to start doing suspesion mods....sorry for thread jack....i tend to do that a lot :hs:
