Leaky turbo fitting

Last night Brian, Bruce and I put an uppipe and downpipe on my car. While driving it I noticed a burnt oil smell that I thougt was probibly some lube or coating in the exhaust burning off. When I got to work this morning I poped the hood and noticed the top banjo fitting on the exhaust side of the turbo looks like it is leaking oil. This sounds pretty stupid but should I just try to snug up the bolt on the fitting or is something else messed up from the install?

That bolt is super-easy to crossthread; if you don't lay the banjo fitting perfectly flat on the turbo the bolt can go in a little crooked.

Make sure it's torqued down to spec and if it is and still leaks, it's probably crossthreaded.

The bad thing is we never took that bolt off, loosened it or anything. So just tighten it a little and see what happens?

As I said, torque to spec... you don't want to just tighten it a little extra if it's already at spec. :)

remeber old flows though the fiting so not having it alinged or over tightend can cause a problem so torque to spec
