    moose Infina Mooooooose!

Been slow posting here lately, let's throw some stuff out there!

    Simple roast beef salad:

    Pound of sliced roast beef
    Bunch of cilantro
    3-4 tablespoons of cumin
    Chopped garlic
Balsamic vinegar (I love the Colavita brand, available at most stores)
    Nice olive oil

Chop roast beef up in maybe 1/2" squares. Put in bowl. Add chopped cilantro, cumin, enough balsamic vinegar to coat (3-4 tbsp probably), and some olive oil and the chopped garlic or onion if you wish. Mix up and let sit out for an hour or so. Enjoy (you will).

    Nice cheese dip:

A package of asadero cheese (your local supermercado should have it)
    1/2 cup half and half
    Chopped jalapenos
    Cumin

Melt cheese with half and half (slow and low heat, double boiler would probably work well here), add finely chopped jalapenos and a tablespoon or so of cumin. Enjoy.

    Barbeque Quesadillas :tasty:

    Flour tortillas
    1/4 cup grated Cheddar,
    1/4 cup grated Monteray Jack,
8 ounces cooked boneless, skinless chicken breast, small diced
    1/4 cup favorite barbecue sauce

Mix it all up (except for the tortillas) and have it ready in a bowl by the stove.
Heat up a frying pan and coat it with some butter or some kind of gay nonfat shit if you'd like that better...
Press the tortilla down on the pan and let it fry for about ten seconds before you add the mix.
Add the mixture to one side, fold, wait a few seconds then flip... and repeat as often as you'd like.

Get out the salsa and sour cream and a beer and enjoy. :D

Sounds good. I'm always a fan of using olive oil in spray form when making quesadills. But it's not so much of a eating healthy thing, more of a I'm lazy and it's way easier to spray something on then spread butter thing :)

Speaking of BBQ, are there *any* BBQ sauces left that you can buy where the main ingredient isn't HFCS?

Well it wouldn't be good if it wasn't a little bit fattening.

    Dammit I'm getting hungry now!

I don't mind the fattening part (I'm from Sweden; we use proper butter and cheese at every other meal), but the HFCS just weirds me out: too chemical and downright forceful as far as flavor. Kind of like vinegar vs wine, hard to explain.

I figured you'd set me straight Moose. :)

You know how you put something out there to see what's what... But I didn't realize it (high fructose corn syrup) has more of a cheapo flavor. I have been known to be a little picky about my BBQ though.
