In an effort to revive the community here, I would like to plan a trip to Little River Canyon for a bbq and drive. Its gotten some buzz on the facebook page but i am weary of how many people actually venture to this site from there lol. Where: Little River Canyon National Preserve 4322 East River trail NE Mentone, AL 35984 When: Aug 10, 11 am. (Atlanta caravan will leave Kennesaw at 8:30, there is an hr time difference) What: Sunday cruise, sight seeing, picture taking, joy riding, and BBQing. After the bbq there are numerous hiking trails and even a water fall if some want to venture off and explore the canyon. Cost: expect to spend about $5-$10 depending how many people come and how much food is required. It is a state park and even more so, this is a driving event. We do not promote drinking and driving. No ASSHATERY. yeah, don't worry about being 'fast enough'. YES, some will be spirited about driving, but this is NOT a race, no one will be left behind or anything like that. I've been able to drive along with a lot of people that will probably show up to this, and one of the best aspects is that we all do this for fun, no ego's, and we try to be as safe as possible. Outings like this are something that I think we are long over do on doing, so lets all make this fun and safe so we will all be eager to keep planning events like this.
not really sure on ETA, but on a bright note, I called them up yesterday,and they said they are planning to start doing the metal work on my car today and they are expecting to give me a progress update end of the week. So it may be close because they are busy, but hopefully it all works out :sx:
Exactly. This is actually more of a wrxatlanta event than a 4touge event. Due to the size of the group it will probably be broken down into smaller groups with directions and pull off points. Keeping up will not be a problem.
My wife will be riding with me too so we will be taking it easy just cruising. If anyones thinking of having a touge battle just let me know beforehand so I know to stay out of your way lol.

depending what you decide to do after the bbq, you can expect to be home by 5. I am planning on having the bbq no later than 1 pm

Can't say enough good things about this event and location; unfortunately, other commitments won't permit attending. The roads are not to be missed. Thanks to Sparta for organizing.
Is there anyone coming from the Alpharetta area that's going? I know we're all meeting in Kennesaw, but I'd love to meet up with anyone coming from the area and ride to the Kennesaw Meet-up point! Also, what's the status on people bringing things? Are we signing up for things yet?
I would still like to wait until it is a little bit closer to delegate supplies just in case someone has to back out at the last minute. there also is a grocery store up there that we have stopped at on the way for groceries
