Check out weather.com, it seems it will pass pretty quickly compared to the Carolinas... Too bad its not snow.
You'd love Chi-Town. Where I'm from. You could actually attempt the qtr mile on snow! Which is how the Subi dealership advertises the STI's. I LIVED directly behind a Subi dealer. The first thing I would see every morning was a line of brand new STI's. I would just stand at the chain link fence and salivate!!!!
Yeah it hailed at my parents house but luckily I was 15 miles south of them at my gf's house. I made sure to pull in their garage
Here at my place it's been lightining a little but no rain/hail. No winds. I live just a mile or two from Dos Copas. (exit 120 on 85) update: it rained hard for a few minutes. but that was it.
Gotta go back to the snow to get the rest of my stuff. Subi's staying right here nice and safe! Snow is great but the salt forgetaboutit! That stuff is the enemy of all that is steel. I am so glad to be done with quick rust. Any exposed metal in Chi town after a good winter that includes exhaust brakes etc is covered. Rust never sleeps! My buddy stored his 68 firebird in the back yard for two seasons...gone!
It hailed at my work. Luckily it was little pebble sized hail and not golfball size. I was really worried I would have another 100 little dents, but I don't think last night did anything to the car.
my saabie was in the garage that pushed out my 300z to the driveway. all i can say is i heard the pebbles falling and i jumped and ran out to throw a blanket over the hood and pray. NO visible dents All night i was waiting for daylight to go check
To gain aero, it has been known that dimples on the surfacce keeps the airflow close to the shell and reduce turbulence. - But I drive slow so i wont need that. Simple test Golf balls with dimples travel further and faster.
