Looking for Hands Next Thur-Fri

Hi all,

Gonna be working heavily on the car next week and could use a hand or two with some things.

I need to do the following.

Swap Radiator
Oil Cooler
Fuel Pump
Brakes/Lines
Wheel studs have to be replaced with longer ones on front two wheels.(Anyone experienced? I have a faq but you know.)
Possibly Roll rear fender
Kartboy shifter and bushings.
Maybe remove front fenders

I wont keep ya long. Feel free to help for 1min to whatever.

As a bonus lol I have 1 free Pink STi Radiator cap for a lucky helper as it turns out I only needed one.

I would love to come but my state swim meet takes up all friday and saturday, and I have to taper for that so I'm not available the rest of the week either. good luck though

Where are you going to be doing all of this? If it's vaguely near Roswell, I'd like to drop by Thurs night & help out as much as I can. I've never rolled a fender before, so I'd love to see what's involved. The rest of it we can probably puzzle out as well.

Thanks all, Im tryin to think of a time that is best for all. I guess what I will do Is those that can come Thursday will be workin on the Fuel pump and Radiator. Friday will work on studs/brakes. I start fairly early so Ill be workin on things from whatever to generally 7-8pm when things start getting busy around the house here.
If the oil cooler arrives may start on that friday or wait until the front mount comes in and knock it all out at once later on. Unsure about if im willing to tackle the shfter at the moment, but we will see. PTC if ya want I can wait on rolling the fender until you can be around, not sure Ill be ready till late friday earliest.

oooh fender rolling! I didnt even catch that. Have you done it before?

Eventually I'll have to roll the rears on my wagon to keep from rubbing the rear tires too much.

 

Its not terribly hard, but if more than 4 of us need to do it in the next year, I may just consider buying the tool instead of the slugger.

Aww shoot, if you're going to be packing up around 7 or 8, then I'm not sure I'll be of much help. I don't get off work until 5ish, & unless you're in Roswell / Alpharetta, I doubt I'd be able to get there in time to help. And I can't make Friday at all, so double drat there.

I am interested in learning how to roll fenders thou, just b/c I've never seen it done before. So if you're willing to hold off on it until later, that'd be awesome. Sounds like there's more than just me who's interested. If this requires special tools, perhaps we could hold off & do a group buy to get the nicer ones.

Yeah we could hold off on it till later if ya want. There is another person who posted in the Low section that is interested. I may make it a saturday weekend deal coming soon or somethin.

how much is a fender roller?

If you get one I'll definately hit you up with some money (rental fee I guess) to use it at a later time.

Fender Roller is $250.00, wouldnt be hard to use on a few then resell to some interested people. I may get impatient if the tires start to rub crazy tho and still manually roll em ^_^.

please let me know when you guys are planing on rolling some fenders. I need to do mine as well. Also let me know how much it will cost if we splitt the price our what ever.

It has to be cheaper than buying new tires because my fender cut them.

 

Brian's shop is a boat shop but has tons of space though....

 

do you still need any help? I wouldnt mind lending a hand.

 

By all means would love for you to come help, ill post directions soon.



For all those interested I will have a oil relocation kit that will be leftover. Any interest in it?

I'm intrested in this, but I don't know if I can get away from the Army during the week. If something comes up on the weekend, I SHOULD be able to make it there.

Well so far so good

Most of the stuff hasnt been very difficult. Still waiting on checking the rear wheel clearance to see if the tires will clear. However until my brake pads arrive will be kinda stuck waiting.

Still waiting on DeI wrap to insulate the oil cooler lines a bit better, pads, get around to the fuel pump, and thats it, proally wrap that up next wed or thur. Then should be back on the road till next time.
