So after searching for a pharmacy technician job unsuccessfully for the past 6 months i've decided to move on. The economy has hit the healthcare job market worse than most people thought it could and something like 60% of GA hospitals are cutting up to 40% of their jobs. I am still certified and can still jump on a job when and if one becomes available. I figured I'd try to use the WRXATL community to help aid in my search for another route. For the time being and perhaps for the start of a new career path I have decided to search for some type of job at either an aftermarket performance shop or service/parts department of a dealership. I figure I know enough about most subarus and am gaining a ton of knowledge on bikes. I have over 6 years of retail/customer service experience and ~2 years of management training under my belt. I figure that would be enough to successfully help manage a shop of some sort. I'm sure there is thousands upon thousands of more knowledge i need to gain to be 100%, but in the meantime I would love to take a more administrative/clerical/customer service role at a similar shop to gain experience. I am also still very interested in a pharmacy technician job or a job similar to this in the medical field I have a resume available upon request. If any of you guys hear or know of any Car/Bike performance shops around the Atlanta area looking for someone (other than a technician/mechanic basically), please let me know. thanks, -Jake
Sad to hear about your job search turning up empty handed. I well let you know if I hear of anything! Best of luck Jake!
thanks guys. i realize most shops like these hire based on friendships, word of mouth, family ties, etc. but i figured i know most of you guys and maybe someone could point me in the right direction
