Mitsu has not really been competative in WRC for many years. There withdraw will not help Subaru in any way. The competition has really been with Puegot and Citroen. Puegot has been very good in the past few years, and I believe Citroen is leading the pack this year. Ford really hasn't done much either, they are behind Subaru, but ahead of Mitsu.
at least they're still doin Paris/Dakar and they weren't competitive because they were always testing new things and didnt want to push the car
Mitsu dominates in the Dakar Rallies. The Montero and Pajaro are the most common vehicles to see in these races.
Hrmph, I guess I've really missed out on WRC happenings this year. Maybe you hardcore types can keep us posted when events will be broadcasted? Or maybe make it a g2g to watch...
I see this as possibly a good thing. Sure it sucks that Mitsu, Puegot, Citroen and Skoda won't have a factory team, leaving only Ford and Subaru, but it will make way for a lot more independent teams to run in the WRC. Hopefully, there will be alot of participation from individuals and restore some glory to the sport. If not, it could mean the end of WRC all together.
and rally america seems to be doing better as well as the WRC looking at a ny rally to make into a wrc event so things may be lookin up on our side of the pond
