Well, I was looking for a couple psi boost... it wasn't hitting the target at all. My initial (and still eventual) plan was to drill out the VF34 pill to 1.1mm (it's 1.0 and stock is 1.2) to see if it'd hit target that way. Unfortunately, the only 1.1mm drill I could find was at Harbor Freight and the drill wore down before even nicking the brass pill. Crappy chinese hardware (no offense to the chinese, a fine people, and they can't be blamed for corporations putting five year olds to work making drill bits for 50 cents/month working 18 hours a day).

So I stuck a helper spring on for now. 11# spring, and I had to cut a couple of coils off. Before: 14.7 according to datalog, now: 16.5 :) No doubt the VF34 was shoveling a fair bit more air in than my stocker even at 14.7 but this made a nice difference... I still plan to drill the pill, but not in such a hurry now. Car runs really damn great, but getting that taste of 19psi boost makes me REALLY want an intercooler and a protune now... :eek:hnoes:

put an 18 lb spring on it and get it tuned. I wish I would have done that. O well. My boost is only 15psi at redline

Considering 16.5 is target for the map, I'll leave it at that. Boost is fun, but higher boost without appropriate supporting mods (in this case intercooler and a tune) it's not my thing.
