More fueling problems . . .

After having all of the fuel lines from my Vishnu fuel rails replaced by SOG a couple weeks ago my car left me stranded on the side of the road last night.

I was coming around a turn and then the car felt like it hit a fuel cut and then the motor just died and wouldnt crank back up. When I tried to crank it back up it would idle (albeit pretty rough) but whenever I would even tap the gas pedal the motor would just spit and sputter then stall.

I waited around forever for a tow truck to tow me 2 miles back to my house and then as soon as I got back to the house I was spinning the motor to adjust the steering wheel and it cranked back up with no problems. I did not get any check engine lights or anything.

I think it might be something with the fuel pump because I couldnt hear it turning on while I was waiting for the tow truck. I'm starting to get really sick of this car and all of the problems I've been having, it's costing way too much money.

Mods that might be a source of the problem:
    STI injectors
    Vishnu fuel rails
    Walbro 255 fuel pump
    APS intake

change the gas you put in..
also recheck all the fuel lines for any blockage..
also since sog put in or replaced the fuel lines, u let them check the problem about it..

    Slowwrx, PM sent.

The car cranked up earlier this morning but I'm not going to drive it anymore until I figure out what the problem is. Fuel pump is turning on now and the MAF is clean, nothing is leaking anywhere on the car.

Another quick Q: If I get a new fuel pump, do I need to order another one with an install kit since I've already got a Walbro? One of my friends might be able to get me one for dirt cheap but I'm not sure if his will come with a kit.

I've gotta go back out and play with that some more, I couldnt get ECUExplorer to work right on my roommates laptop and then ran out of time before I had class.

Just got a quick datalog captured. I dont know what to look for exactly but I dont think the fuel pump is supposed to be running at 100% duty cycle at idle . . .

Looks like the problem was my turbo inlet hose leaking. I've never had the hose off or turbo off the car, I'm not sure if SOG would have pulled it off when doing the tranny swap or the fuel lines but whoever last installed it didnt get the bottom of the inlet sealed and actually folded over the rubber underneath the hose clamp.

I've still gotta poke around to find out if I can reuse the mangled stock inlet hose or just go with something aftermarket. Does anybody have any tips for installing a turbo inlet hose?

i dumped the stocker and installed a perrin. Its pretty easy to install without removing the intake manifold. the only trick i've found for it is to lube the inside and outside with something like wd40 and have a long flatblade screwdriver (i mean really long) that you can use to help slip it on the turbo itself.

Yeah also you have to break the stock turbo inlet if you don't want to remove the intake manifold. It's not that hard just a pain to wiggle it out.

Perrin turbo inlet should be in on wednesday! Only problem is that I've got a research paper due thursday so I may not get around to installing it until thursday.

Does anybody else have any pointers on installing a turbo inlet?

Patience. You DO NOT have to remove the intake manifold. Also you have to break the tab thingy's on the stocker if you don't remove the intake manifold but the stocker isn't worth anything. I took a vice grip and broke them off. You'll see what I am talking about. Wiggle wiggle move that bundle of wires in the front and wiggle wiggle. It's tough and you will have to put some muscle in it but it'll come out.
