My exhaust options

So I have an exhaust leak in the last section of my stock exhaust. I have a 3" Cat-back system which will take care of the problem. But it won't match the 2.5 flange so I am searching for a Downpipe. I'd like a catted one, but don't really wanna drop too much money on it. My car is registered to Muscogee county so emissions is not a problem so I can go catless. Is the difference night and day as far as sound and performance. And I heard catless makes you car stink :squint:. What else can I do to be able to use the Cat-back system (other piecing alternatives)?

As for an aftermarket downpipe, I vote to stick with a cat..... catless cars tend to be very loud, spew soot onto the bumper, and smell awful..... if you eventually want a massive turbo then catless might be the best option, but at milder power levels a good high flow cat will only sacrifice 5-10 hp, depending on your mods..... I got my catted Helix DP used for $250, although when new most catted downpipes will run you anywhere from $350-$650.....
