    depends on how many bananas i fill up on
    normally 2 bananas /50 miles
    little bit better than the Saabaru

    Those bikes with cool little disk brakes...are those useful at all?

    Disk brakes mainly for mtb bikes but i dont think it that great
    Its heavy and costly and high maintenance.
    V brakes are simple light and will still stop
    If you want to go fast you dont want to touch the brakes:)

    Decent is relative.
    But a $600 bike is quit good nowadays because of competition. Yes it cost more but you will live longer to enjoy your SUBARU

    I was lookin into a mtb but the one I wanted is around $1000 with the front and rear springs those disk brakes stop scary fast. of course the guy didn't tell me they were high mant.
