What exactly are the model years that correspond with references to STi v7, or STi v8, etc. I think I mostly see this terminology used in reference to JDM parts? Thanks!

Here is an example: Note the guy is selling v7 JDM stuff.

So, what exactly are the model years that correspond with references to STi v7, or STi v8, etc.
