Daniel Willie, our tuner, has been tuning for about 7 years now and has 1000's of hours of experience. He is a Georgia Tech Graduate with a Chemical Engineering degree. He can tune most every vehicle and a vast variety of feul management systems, from SAF-C to Motec. We are AEM certified and now have the ability to sell and tune Cobb Access. Along the way our shop has been known to be innovative and pioneering. We have had a couple of cars that were pretty well known in the Subaru community: http://batlground.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=34 http://batlground.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=122 Hopefully we will have some more in the near future thanks to the WRX Atlanta community as we look forward to being a part of it. So now some background on us: Our flagship vehicle was our 1995 Toyota Supra. That's the beast that started it all. We built the vehicle from the ground up begining in 2000 and eventually the car made in into the 8's in the 1/4 mile on street tires. At that time it was the 3rd fastest Pro Street tire Supra in the world and the fastest and quickest import in Georgia. We were a privateer team and 23 years old at the time. We never picked up a sponsor for drag racing, so we decided to retire the supra in 2004. http://batlground.com/index.php?content=racecar Our next hi-profile shop vehicle was our 2003 Evo 8. It broke the stock block, stock turbo, stock ECU awhp record 2 times. At one point it was the 10th fastest Evo 8 in the world. It is now the fastest and quickest Evo in GA (as far as we know). Currently it makes 670 awhp on pump gas and methanol and is daily driven. It ran 10.55 in the 1/4 mile the first and only time time at the track with it's current set up. http://batlground.com/index.php?content=shoptracy Our most recent endeavor has been drifting. Dan and Tracy pilot twin 240SX's sponsored by Maxxis tires. We have been pictured in many magazines in the past year including Modified, Super Street, HCI, Drifting, Sport Compact Car, PAS, S3....the list goes on and on. We can also be seen regulary on NOPI Tunervision which airs on the Speed Channel several nights a week. For 2007 we have been picked up by many sponsors and it will be our first year as actual paid drivers. Maxxis Tires has chosen our team for their ad campaigns and we will be seen in Modified magazine 12 issues this year. K&N has also picked up our team and will also be using our cars for their ad campaign. http://batlground.com/index.php?content=shop240 You can see videos of us drifting and some of our Speed Channel coverage on our myspace page www.myspace.com/batlground We also have an events company DBA Drift Fury. For now we host drift events across the East United States. We will be hosting 10 events this year. www.driftfury.com . We hope to move into time-attack and road racing events in the near future. That being said, we also have the ability to host events or private testing for individuals or teams or clubs being that we retain motorsports insurance. We also have an apparel and DVD company owned by us and Keeganxt on this board www.driftempire.com www.mypace.com/driftempire . Check it out. All of our videos are edited by Kevin Keegan and he is amazing at doing so. He is new to the Subaru community as well. This is Tracy and I spend most of the time on the boards. Dan is the owner and Brandon is our tech. He has been with us almost 6 years, so we have a pretty close family here. We are a pretty small facility, but it's ours and we worked very hard turning wrenches over the years to get here. Nothing has ever been handed to us and it has been a rocky road. The future is bright and I am excited for the porspects ahead! For tech advice and questions, it is usually best to e-mail dan@batlground.com he may take 24-48 hours to get you a response, just please keep in mind that we are a small busy facility and you patience is appreciated. You can always feel free to call me 770-319-9605 and I will do my best to take care of you. I am here to give some quotes and make appointments. Whew! That was a mouth full! I didn't realize how much we had going on until I took the time to type it all. Hopefully this is a good introduction for those who don't know of us. If you have any questions, please ask!
So another thing I wuld like to mention is that I have een known to be a little "sassy" at times. So just a little disclaimer, that my sense of humor and personality is wierd and may come across.....uhhhh.....well it's diffeent to everyone, but I'm spunky to say the least. and not really conceited as it may seem in my above post
Nice! I accidently drove by your place today when I was trying to find Airgas to pickup a new co2 cylinder for my kegerator. I didn't realize that it was that Batlground was that far north! -- Brian
I tried to look up exhaust systems for WRX and got database errors. Slap that IT monkey once for me. *just a side note, that's what I'm starting to do at my work so one IT monkey to another.*
Yea I know it doesn't work properly. We're not really interested in it working properly anymore. Wayback when we were going to try to sell a lot more parts but it just didn't happen. Dan refuses to take it down because we still like to sel parts if we can. Sorry either way
