NA Legacy w/ CVT tuning?

Ok bear with me, I'm not crazy enough to think I'll get any power from this car, it's my family sedan road trip car that gets 29mpg+ on my trips to Tennessee to see my son, BUT...
I hear that these things can get "tuned" to smooth out certain issues. For instance the CVT not putting itself in the correct range quickly enough sometimes. Hopefully something can also be done about cold weather fuel economy, because when it's below 32 outside that 29+mpg trip becomes a 21-22mpg trip, exact same trip and speeds and I can't blame that difference on winter gas alone.
So, my questions are if anybody here has had a newer NA car tuned, and who does it (and what's the cost) locally?

but to answer your question, there really isnt much available for your car. I believe you can do and open source tune but I doubt you can modify anything in the CVT area of the ecu. There is just not any demand for that platform for someone like Cobb to invest R&D into it.

Right, and yes I am well aware of how to search, and I'm on NASIOC and LegacyGT, the question was relating to local experience and CVTs. I've read of tunes helping the 2.5i with driveability on the 5 speed, but nothing on the CVTs as of yet.
While I don't have an Impreza any longer, I just find this community to be, well, better than the big boards.

I know...I was just busting your ballz:)

I doubt many NA 2.5i CVT people are on this board locally. You are better off asking on legacygt.com

check your local dealership. there might be a reflash for the TCU for the cvt to shift better. I know there is a bunch for the 6 cyl. I want to say there is some for the outback and legacys 010+

There is also a reflash for coolant temp and stuff available i believe as well. We've done a couple reflashes for a cool temperature/coolant thing around october last year

What was the issue with the temp/coolant?

Something like the blue light would stay on longer then anticipated.. come to find out the car would actually be at a decent temp before the blue/cold light would go out. Blue light is suppose to go off around about 80 degrees + customers lights were staying on till like 125

That affects nothing but the visible indication though?
