Well, I think I've gone as far as I can with my DEFI install... all of the gauges have power and are mounted... and the center console/dash is still apart I need some help getting the sensor's hooked up, they are still in the boxes... I have 3 gauges... Oil Pressure EGT Boost Anyone want to help out? Maybe someone that's done these before OR can you suggest a place to get these done and an approximate cost/time? I'd obviously rather spend the money on some beer and pizza Only time crunch is that I would like to get it done prior to my first autox this Saturday :sx: Sorry for the long post, any help would be appreciated...
wow, man, I thought you got it done on the last install day. I did all of my about 2 weeks ago. I can show you how I did mine if you want to.
Ya, i was at the install day, but everyone was pretty busy on other installs and i had to get going around 3pm that afternoon, so things got postponed until recently... i finally got time to get all of the electronic stuff completed last night... Do you know about how long each of these takes? and any guidance would be great!
the boost is like 10 minutes. The oil pressure one will be at least 2 hours if you are doing the galley plug, or probably 1 hour for the sandwich adaptor. The EGT will take 2 hours if all the bolts from the headers aren't seized (mine did). Oh, and you need a couple of special tools.
Oh, and I have the oil galley plug... do you need a washer with the plug? and what T-fitting did you use for your boost?

I didn't use the washer, but I did put teflon tape on the plug. I got the t-fitting from pepboys and you still need a reducer and some hoses.
I have a white/grey universal plastic T from Pep boys, and there was hose that came with the kit... will that work?
The T fitting is probably ok (I got the metal one). But the hose from the kit is only from the T fitting to the sensor, you need another hose that's same size as the stock hose to go from the BPV to the T. B/c the one on the car is pretty short and I don't think you want to cut it to put the T there. I still have some of that hose left if you want it.
yeah, sure, that'd be great, if you have extra... this is the first time i have been home from work before 9 in the last couple of weeks... i am not sure how far duluth is away from midtown, but shoot me a pm with your number or whatever, and I'll give you a call. THanks!
It's a straight shot up 85N probably take ya 30 mins or so depending on traffic and where in midtown vs where in Duluth your going...
Are you serious? The oil galley plug is easy. You just remove the intercooler, the attached hoses, and it is right there. Maybe 1 hour.
well, i'm a newbie in midtown... that has no tools so even "simple" tasks seem to take lots of time... and lots of help... the only thing i have done so far, alone, is add hood dampers and hellas. A friend of mine (along with the detailed instrcutions) helped me do the electric part, so now it's time to work out these sensors...
yeah, the actual putting in the plug part takes maybe 10 minutes, but it took me a while to put the ic back on, specifically the turbo outlet hose, that was freakin hard!
