Need Help For Set Up

Hey Guys I Have Changed My Mind On A Few Things And This Is What Im Going For Now.
Sti Short Block
Wrx Heads (ported And Polished)
VF39 TURBO FOR NOW, WHEN TRANNY IS STRONGER ILL GO BIGGER
WELBRO 255 FUEL PUMP
PERRIN FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER

JUST NEED A LITTLE HELP DECIDING WHAT INJECTORS TO GO WITH, HOW BIG OF AN INJECTOR CAN I RUN WITH THIS SET UP.

SHOULD I GO WITH AN UP PIPE OR A HEADER, AND DO ALL HEADERS CHANGE YOUR EXHAUST SOUND HIGHER PITCHED.

WHAT SIZE CAMS SHOULD I GO FOR, I WAS THINKING STI CAMS OR JUN 272/272, OR SHOULD I EVEN PUT CAMS IN AT THIS POINT

THATS ALL I CAN THINK OF RIGHT NOW, SO ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD HELP OR IF YOU HAVE ANY ALTERNATIVES TO ANYTHING AS WELL. THANKS

 

First of all, please turn off "Caps Lock."

I would say, start saving now and trade in with 04 STi. All tranny upgrade ($4000) with STi Short block ($1500) plus all labor ($1500) will get you pretty close to the difference between your '02 wrx and '04 sti.

 

Buy my car instead it will be cheaper by a long shot

 

lol... i would go with a set up that will suit ur rex...
if u wanna keep the 02 looks, etc then do what you think sounds good, ask around..
but then trading and etc is up to u..
i wouldn't trade a bug eye for anything eles..

 

this is just my opinion but i would ditch the 39 for a different turbo..maybe one thats a little bigger and isnt notorious for having cracks in it. the vf30, vf34, vf22,or super 16G are all awesome turbos. you will still be ok with any of those turbos and your stock tranny as long as you dont abuse it. heck you can screw your tranny up on your stock turbo if you mistreat it.

front mount is ok..but again if you stay with the vf39 it will be a waste of money..actually a nice big top mount will be abit cheaper and still get you some really good gains.

for injectors some jdm pinks (565cc) will be good for any of the vf turbos with the 16g i think you will need some 650cc's

letme say this in caps YOU WILL NEED AN UPPIPE!. that should be one of the 1st heck it should be the first mod you do to a wrx. preturbo cat is a bad thing!

headers are not needed but you will find mixed opinions on them..I ran them and went back to the stock exhaust manifold. as far as change in sound if you get unequal length headers it will retain the boxer sound but if you go with equal length headers you will lose some of that sound.

as far as cams i dont think i have met one person with them? :dunno and if so its not talked about very often. they are not needed for the set up you are leaning towards

 

i'd go at least 20g with the 2.5

 

i agree with milo 20g is the way to go on a 2.5 block.
