    Need help with u/p cell

I can't get the check engine light to go off. I put the 2.2k resistor in the egt plug and nothing happened. Is there anything I need to do with the O2 sensor in the manifold? I already have a cell fix on the 2nd one.

are you talking about DP fix? if so, you've got it mixed up. i did the resistor fix on the uppipe and the help non-foulers on the DP

Sorry, I had gutted my up pipe the other day, plugged the hole and then placed the resistor in the egt plug. I already have a fix on the dp o2 sensor. I was wondering if there is anything I need to do with the o2 sensor in the manifold or if there is something out of the ordinary I need to do with the resistor.

make sure the resistor is pushed all the way into the plug..other than that try reseting the ECU or try pulling the code..might be something else

I tried resetting the ecu by disconnecting the battery and pushing the brakes for a few seconds. that didn't work. I'll try again at lunch today and make sure the resistor is in all the way.

I tried again and made sure the resistor was in the plug but it didn't work. might be something else. how do you pull codes on a Subaru?

  11. Autozone can pull the code for you. Well they do it down here. i never put anything on my EGT probe when i did my uppipe install the only wire i added a cel fix to was the O2 sensor on the downpipe. I could be reading this all wrong but if you put a resistor on the EGT i think thats the problem all together. I dont think its needed now once in a blue moon ill get a EGT CEL but the Accessport clears it out for me and that only happens on really cold days after start up.

He put the resistor on in place of the EGT sensor.. it should not set a CEL if done properly.
