Hey, I'm working on something but I need help. Does anyone have a CAD style line drawing of the 04+ wrx? with bird eye, and profile perspectives? oh come on.... anyone? something like this... except for 04+ year... i wanted to try and print it off at work, since i dont have a home printer... --- stupid automerge messing with my bump... found one, but now i need different help. its too small to survive printing, anyone good with Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator that can vectorise this badboy into 1600pix plus?
I know some photoshops can make a picture into a line drawing of sorts. You might be able to take one of those and alter it to look like you want. Just a thought.
if ya drop the mid tones in PS and then do a live trace in AI it should yeild "ok" results. let me know if you're too busy scott, i may have time for this.
yeah that's what i did but it still is very jagged and would take so time to get smooth lines....was thinking maybe opening it up in Streamline?...
yeah, this is something that could be useful to us all later as a 'starter sheet' to work from (which is exactly what i wanna use it for). I say share your results here as a lossless JPG or PNG, and then we can make it part of the site in a download section, maybe, alex?
yeah live trace is a little better than what i did....created a work path in PS then exported it into Illustrator....I really can't spend too much more time on this so Monk if you wanna take the reigns...feel free!!!
streamline may help... god i haven't used that in forever though. the original is in rough shape as it is. the best quality way to do this is a redraw. yeah. fun. i actually went looking on subaru's advertising tracker (i've done work for them) and i can't find a DAMN thing done in line drawing. i also went looking through the 04 repair manual pdfs and it's great-all vector stuff, just cutaways lol.
I sent the pics and a description of what you are looking for to my friend kristy (she might have some hook ups or know of something) she did a 3d model of a skyline from scratch and eye balling a 1:18 scale
