I latly have highly improved my gas mileage. I was getting between 15-19mpg on average and about 210 miles per tank. I have been riding with my stock exhaust back on and have changed jobs and drive a lot more freeway and am now getting 27mpg on average.

Yesterday after achieving well over 300 miles per tank i checked my gas mileage and had reached a new personal high of 29.916 mpg on 93 octane. My car has 97k miles on it now, and i am utterly impressed.:wiggle:

Damn I was getting mileage like that with a fuel leak. Since I fixed it I just got a record high of 280 miles on the last fillup, including lots of wasting gas on WOT runs.

lol, i always try to drive a whole tank conservatively... That never works. I always end up going WOT from red lights at night :/

my fuel light comes on around 280 miles. Im sure I could get 300 miles if not more on a tank of gas.

I was hoping that I would manage 27 last tank of gas. Instead got more like 24 :( This thing bites you if you play. Oh well.

i was rather impressed, its only gonna last another 2 weeks however because then the exhaust is going back on.

I'm the same on regular commutes. Althought my road trip to NC at the weekend I was getting v close to 300 per tank. I guess that means I should drive at lower revs on my morning commute..bah..no way ;)

And another noob question...what is 'WOT' ?

is there a way to check for fuel leaks on your own?..

if you suspect fuel leak..shouldn't u be able to smell it?

should be, or you would probably see it somewere on the undercarriage. What makes you think you have a leak?
