I met a few people at the Gwinett fairgrounds ( i live close by) I am in the market to get an AWD. And of course just looking for info and what can be better than talking to owners of these cars. I stopped by and saw couple of STIs and a nice White WRX on the fairgrounds. I need to put a bike in the car as the minimum requirement and I know the rear seat dont fold down. So I guess a wagon will have to be an option. MY bicycle at one point was more $ than my car till i got hold of an SR20DET and swapped it. Roof Rack is not really a great option because of the elements, rear mount is even worse because im concern the person behind me cant stop fast enough. The next time you guys get together and dont mind a non wrx owner to stop by and learn more about the cars please let me know goixiz@gmail.com hope to learn more bout your cars
Welcome aboard :wavey: Our community is not just for Subaru owners, its for anyone and everyone that enjoys cars. We all get together and just talk shop, talk about the upcomming F1 or WRC race / season or just cook out and have fun. At the end of the day, we're all just here to relax and enjoy ourselves. I was hoping I could dig up a picture of my friend's STi with his roof rack. If you're looking at wagons, you may want to consider the Saab 92-x Aero if their still running the crazy discount since its merely a WRX wagon is disguise at a heavily reduced price. Welcome once again :bigthumb: cheers,
yes interested in the SAAB version yes Im bery interested in the SAAB version of the WRX \can you give me more details and if anyone still has one available ?
welcome to the boards... i was out at the fairgrounds but had to leave relatively early... keep checking the g2g sections for upcoming meets... all auto enthusiasts are welcome... links to upcoming meets are in my sig
i didnt make it to the fairgrounds today bc of work but i live around the corner as well....welcome to the boards and if you come to some g2gs i think you will quickly fall in love with subaru cars. The saab is really cool and i believe alexs brother has one on here he could give you good info. The wagons IMO are hawt with proper mods and i like them as equal or even better than the sedan. Plenty of knowledgable people on these boards so feel free to ask any questions and hope to meet ya sometime!
It was nice meeting you today goixiz. I talked to you for and bit about the STI's. If you have any other questions just post them up here. The folks on here are full of good information Ask away
Are the SAABaru s still available ? I hate to say - " I dont need the 2006 WRX wagon with the 2.5" but budget is the constraint now. Unless i can let me 300z go.
Wagons rock!! Hatch + folding rear seats makes for plenty of storage room in the back. I've lugged around big TVs and bikes before in the back of mine. Anyways, welcome to the club.
Yes, the Saabaru. My brother actually owns one. We bought it @ the Saab dealership on peachtree industrial. Give them a call and see if you can talk with Ernie (our salesmen), he was definately one of the better sales people Ive ever dealth with.
Any idea of the price paid for the SAABaru? I heard there was mention about GM employee pricing but its a SAAB though. How does that work ?
im not sure if they are still doing employee pricing but the way you could get it is because GM owns SAAB.
At the moment im interested to an extent because already have 2 cars and there is no more space in the garage. http://home.comcast.net/~goixiz/my_toys.jpg (smile) If i do sell a car and some bikes I will have enough for a new WRX wagon
so are you trying to tell us you ride bikes a little bit or something? nice collection man glad you enjoy something so much.
errrr YES Few years ago i had more miles on my bikes than in my car. And before the SR20DET swap my bike worth more than my car Priority changed
Those are titanium OS tubing frames a tad too stiff for me but it accelerates like an STI on steroids. I dont ride in the mountains(dahlonega) anymore. MOstly start from Gwinett county (harbins, Auburn, Dacula, etc,...) 50-65 miles per ride on weekends and 20-25 miles on weekdays. But due to the time change and the temps dropping (great for the turbo) we cut back on the miles
