So I'm looking at getting a new camera. I have a Kodak Easy Share C743 (7.1 mp). Its just your run of the mill camera. I'm wanting one that has good night shots and takes pretty fast pictures. My Kodak takes about 6 sec. between shots. But seems like forever when you want to take another picture. Thanks in advance for all your help..

Night shots FTL, that's what a flash is for.

I have a Cannon Powershot and I like it... portable and takes good pics. The fastest camera I have ever seen in terms of boot up and point an shoot is my friend's Sony. I don't remember which model exactly but they make good cameras.

The Sony Cybershots are great. I've got one with up to 10 megapixels which are perfect if you are a Photoshop guru

  6. For the price of a new Point and shot you can get on ebay and pick up a Nikon D50 or a Canon rebel Xti DSLR which both are nice cameras. Its just all going to depend on what feels more comfortable in your hands.
