Well, i have been waiting a few months but i fianlly signed the papers on my very own brand new 2004 RX-8. she looks so good in black, it really brings out the lines of the car. im very glad that the shit i had to deal with is finally over. Jim Ellis Mazda of Atlanta quoted us $280 a month with 2500 down and then decided that they were gonna try and weasle out of the deal they made and told us that i was not allowed to co-sign the deal with my dad, so my dad pretty much said fuck you and we went straight to Jim Ellis of Marietta. well lets say it took us and hour and a half there, what took 4-6 saturdays and a couple of days inbetween to get the same deal and they allowed my co-signing on the deal. now all I have to do is pick her up with the 15% tint they said they would throw in.

If anyone on here every has to deal with a Mazda dealer(not that its likely) Jim Ellis of Marietta is the place to go.

I will have pics probably on saturday or sunday, and as far as being a rotory, mazda has really stepped up on quality of thier new "RENISIS" 13b. two more intake ports, one per rotor, no more overlapping of exhaust and intake valves, and other things i cant think of right now. plus its probably the smoothest idle/acceleration i have felt in any car, not to mention you cant even tell the car is on, at idle, if your windows are up, .

when i'm in a sports car, i need to hear and feel it... that means bumpy ride and loud exhaust... just my opinion

If you cant hear it I guess you cant feel the car shaking at idle either . . .
runs out to hear and feel the boxer rumble

maybe I'll take it for a drive and feel what a fair amount of torque feels like.

well it deffinately has a bumpy ride and as far as loud exhaust, once you hit 4500rpms the thing sreams, i just meant its soft at idle.

i was thinking about it, but im not entirely sure. my dad isnt keen on the idea because of insurance and other things like warranty. not entirely used to driving this kinda car, so it will be sometime before i auto-X it if i do. heh, just a little info because i am happy, most of the rx-8's are getting between 14(lowest) and about 19 mpg on average, and i pulled in a whopping 21mpg with 70city/30highway, this is a very big deal because i now have to buy premium:D . also, if anyone is interested, many people say that Shell premium/"V-power" is the best you can buy, rx-8 owners have noticed an average of 2-3mpg better.

my mpg depends on my mood

good mood/bad mood = low mpg cuz car gets driven hard

zombie mood (after a long day at school) is much more economical
