New DirecTV dish that adds local HD channels

    Here is the new DirecTV MPEG-4 dish that will also provide the local HD channels. It requires 5 coax vs the 3 coax used on the current 18" oval dish. You'll also need/ get a new HD receiver as the current ones only decode MPEG-2.

    Roll out is slated for 11/7 but it'll prob get pushed back......again.

    Do you have to pay extra for HD per month with that?

    HD local is broadcast over the air in HD for free if thats what you mean
