    well i suck at guessing at these kinda things, but maybe a blue heeler? my wife is from New Mexico and those kinda dogs are popular there. anywho...cute dog!;)

    a couple of you were HALF correct. She's jack russell - australian shepherd mix....right now, about 25 or so pounds...expected to get to another 5-10 pounds bigger.

    Sadie was her name when I rescued her, so I have no idea about the song ;)

    My guess is part Australian shepherd or border collie and part something else that isn't lab or chow.

    Now I see your post! I used to have a Austrailian shepherd and lab mix and her name was Spot. She was a smart and active dog and very protective of children. Spot was happier when she had a job to do. I think it was the Australian Shepherd in her.
