Main reason is that the Ecutek alone can only read up to 1.55bar. After that the stock ecu see's no additional fueling. So by runing the Ecutek we are able to scale the injectors on the main fuel tables to have the perfect drivability, and allow the Utec to pick up when runing the higher boost levels and higher MAF volts. By runing both we are able to build a car that runs near perfect with the factory ecu and makes stupid power. Also the utec allows us to have switchable maps for Methanol injection, racegas, etc.. I know the owner of the car. lol he drags it alot and couldnt stand it after riding in mine. He had to go bigger. We need more fast Sti's around anyway.
