so i was just told about this forum this weekend. so far i like the place, doesnt have alot of the b/s other forums get into. most forums have their own ideals they preach out. is there any tuner preference over here? how about BOV and CAI views. im just tryin to get a quick feel for this place. so hello to everyone! happy posting.
Here is your BOV answer. Basically, it isnt necessary. http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4539&page=1&pp=10&highlight=bov I have been on here since Nov. and EVERYBODY that I have met at the meets has been extremely nice. WELCOME!!! :wavey:
haha, good. i was hoping i didnt just join a forum that promotes harmful mods like some forums out there.
welcome to WRXatlanta most people on here get their car tuned by either doug at topspeed or scott at subaru of gwinnett views on CAI: discussions keep coming up... general consenus is that this is not necessarily a huge power adder but does sound cool and add engine bling... however most people are against short ram intakes views on BOV: possible performance loss... however, very cool sounding i see u r pretty far from us... if ur ever in town, post up and maybe we could meet for lunch or something... i have links to some of our big meets in my signature hope you enjoy your stay on WRXatlanta
People are pretty level headed over here. Even if some guys do have "bad" mods or whatever I haven't seen any preaching like in some other other places *cough*NASIOC*cough*. The only prefence I've been seeing more of lately is Meth injection = God. Willkommen!
Yo! you the guy i met this saturday putting in an air filter at the gas station in NC? if so, thanks for checking us out. welcome to the site. how did the auto-x go?
thats me. the autox was cold as hell, fun tho. it was the first event since i put on my rear sway bar, so it was cool gettin my inside tire over a foot off the ground! it was just a testntune tho, so no points yesterday. moose, im a music major up at uncg studyin bass. my classical is a 70 year old czech bass by harold jaeger. my electric is an ernie ball musicman stingray 4-string.
Very Cool! glad your on the board. I was just checking out you mods in the garage. no front sway bar? any reason why?
Welcome to the WRXatlanta community :wavey: Meth injection is the latest craze, but that's really about it. If you are looking for tuning, look no further than Scott Siegel (Siegel Racing / Subaru of Gwinnett Performance) and Doug over at TopSpeed. Everyone has seemed to answer your questions, I would hate to repeat what they've all said. We're a very open community, and quite level. We're 100% BS free and that's the way we enjoy it. Happy posting, enjoy your stay! Cheers,
care to loan me some money :sx: its next on my list. might be a while tho because i have to pay off a speeding ticket from a few weeks ago
i hear that. i'm stock, + window tint, and not that proud of it... again, welcome to the club. did you read about the 555 party? you're more than welcome to join.
i read about the 555. im just sure if i want to make that drive after my last class on friday. sounds cool tho.
Welcome..... WRXatlanta is always yours own.. it feels like vitural reality home.. ummmmmmmm ... i smell cookies..? whos baking? welcome tho.. enjoy
I used to be a pretty hard core musician. Played the drums from 6th to 9th grade and then took up guitar for a few years. I played guitar in a couple of little bands and bass in one decent group called Tripwire. Somebody else took that name though I think... The Army kind of killed my ability to play seriously any more though. Plus I just kind of just lost the hunger for it because of not being around other musicians. I still like to jam every once in a while though.
ive been playing bass for 8 years now. im currently majoring in music performance at uncg. i study upright classical, but also love electric. i just joined up with one band at www.myspace.com/likeabear. the recordings on the site right now are of the old bassists, my lines i wrote a much cooler haha. check them out tho, its good stuff.
