Hello all, this is Chris with an '02 WRX in Augusta. This is my 2nd baby; my 1st was a '93 WRX when I lived in Okinawa Japan for 4 1/2yrs. I can't believe I missed this. Welcome to the site! I'm from Augusta as well (well the martinez/evans area to be more precise). I'm not back home nearly as much as I used to be, but if you see a black on black bugeye driving around, it's more than likely me.
hrm, I almost lived in augusta (had a job offer at Vogtle as a reactor operator) seemed kinda boring though
Compared to Atlanta, I can definitely see this. It helps to grow up there, just because it's one of those places that people seem to stick around. So since most of my grade schooling was there, I always have a decent network of friends to call whenever I go home. There's definitely stuff to do, but of course nothing like a college town or metropolitan. I think it's a perfect place for raising a family though, particularly Columbia County. It's probably more to do with the friends I have rather than where it was, but I wouldn't trade my high school years there for anywhere else.
I'm in your area, and probably work at the same place you do, so if you need any help or whatever, let me know. I'm over on csram as well, but don't really do much. Different name, but I think you can figure out who I am.
You should make the 1 hr drive to Columbia, SC and meet all of the great guys there. They have Subie meets all the time there. PM for details and links to that thread. Oh and welcome...you can't beat WRXAtlanta for good info and non-dramatic threads.
