I AM RETIRED AND LIVE IN Elizabethton TN.I need members help in determining the worth on my Subaru .I have a Subaru Impreza WRX Limited Edition 5 door Hatchback I purchased new.The WRX has 44500 miles,in Excellent condition with black leather heated seats and Urban Grey exterior with new Yokohama tires, always garaged with all maintenance strictly adhered to by Subaru dealer.I have been offered $14,000 trade in at three local dealerships but none will give me a retail price.I would like to reasonably like members input as to what price to place on my Subaru. The car is completely stock.I prefer to be called Mike.I would be happy to answer any additional questions.I would like to find the WRX a new loving home.

Hi Mike. Welcome to the community!

kbb.com is an excellent source for that. According to that site, you should expect a trade in of about 19k in EXCELLENT condition. The site says about 3% of cars fall into that condition.

Fair condition has a trade in of 16k.

Take what kbb shows with a grain of salt. Dealerships will ALWAYS try to lowball you on your trade in so they can maximize their capital when they re-sell it. You might be better off listing it yourself on autotrader.com or the like.

Welcome to the site. A quick NADA search shows your car at about a 14k trade in value with a 17k retail value. Keep in mind, retail is buying from a dealer so if you sell private party you can't expect to get 17k for it. If they are offering 14k I would assume they are going to list your car at 17,990. Someone will probably come in and low ball them and they'll sell it for 16k-17k plus taxes and fees. If you sold it on your own I'd probably try to get 16k for it.

If you are planning on trading it in...I would print out KBB value for the car because its unrealistically high, showing trade in around 18k. There is no way they are going to give this to you but take it to the dealer and use it as a negotiating tool to get the most for your car.

Hope this helps you out a little bit.
