Yeah go all grey and fix the tailights. If you wanted to keep the matte I would say leave it on the roof only
Thanks guys.. I just wanted to try something different. Its gonna get crazy next spring when theres no car payment:coolugh:
i think it would look better if the flat was raw CF or everything was that grey with just the roof a gloss black.
So Im trying to figure out what yall mean by fix the tailights. i need suggestions. i dont want to do blacked out I dont need any extra reason to get pulled over. Tho it would look good.
http://shopcustomcreations.com/VHT-Nite-Shades-Tint-SprayBlack-Out-Tail-Light/prod-530.html you can do it the shade you want to. and it's not illegal as it'll still light up normally. I did this on my GTi back in the day and it worked great
I used that on my WRX when I had it. Im really looking for 05 tails. And you are sure blacked out tails are legal?
I like that grey. Just leave the back spoiler above the window black and tint the upper part of the taillights black. Then again, when i look at your pics, I like it how it is because it's unique. If you leave it like that, i'd paint the front lip and spoiler above black window black too.
I love that flat blue! I really have been thinking about doing a different color flat. This is just an interim paint job. Next summer it will be getting a "real" paint job since I'll have no car payment. Lol
flat colors are great if you can keep it out of the elements, otherwise it's a pain in the ass to keep clean
You ain't lying. I have a two car port and when it was all flat black I had to at least wipe it off everyday. I started using pledge on the flat parts and the wheels and that really helps but if it rains or you run thru a sprinkler forget it you have to wash it and do it all over. Flat paint is definitely a lot of upkeep.
Where and Who did your paint job? How did it turn out? Like factory feel/look? Any messups? Cost? Answer all questions, now now now!!! LuLz!!!
Ok when I painted it flat black it cost me a total of $600 that's minor body work included. Turned out great except one area on the bumper had some cracking from the flat paint drying so fast. I hit a turkey and ruined my front pass. fender. The shop was having a hard time matching the flat since I wanted it extra flat. So I decided to just keep the roof, hood and trunk flat and picked this grey color. So this current paint job only cost me $300. Since it was only half the car to paint. I got it painted here in Columbus, peach auto body. Yes there are some mistakes. Some overspray and in general if you look at it hard enough you can tell it's a $300 paint job. Overall am I happy with the quality of work to cost ratio, absolutely. Is this a permanent paint job absolutely not.
Yeah peach still around. They use dupont that's why I chose them. Yeah ptap is still in business. Not sure what they do beside vinyl wraps.
