new rotors needed and calipers!!

    i just found out that my stock drivers side brake caliper has two pistons seized up..ss said i could get them rebuilt..does anyone know anything about this?? and i also will need new rotors very soon..what would be good rotors to go back with? (i really dont have much money to spend on this) any help would be nice..thanks :)

    How the heck did your pistons sieze? You'll need the brembo rebuild kit seen here: http://www.fastwrx.com/subrcarekit.html

    Re Rotors: This depends on your budget and what you want to do with the car. I would suggest you purchase a quality brand (DBA or similar) and avoid the bottom brand rotors. There are several community sponsors that have accounts with DBA, Hawk, etc and are definitely able to help you find what you need at the best price out there.

    I had a friend in college that had a similar problem on an F150. Turned out one of the pistons slid out and grabbed outside its housing. I am not saying that is the issue but it took us over 2 hours to figure it out. (also wants to know how it seized)

    I have heard great thing about duralast rotors being used for competition use.

    ebay rotors and a rebuild kit will do you fine.

    I run duralast rotors on my car. They were around $30 or so per side and have a lifetime warranty

    Who carries duralast? Is that an Autozone brand?

    old post..brakes are doing better now but still will need rotors soon..just got the hell turned out of these..how are duralast rotors on an sti? i have ran those on some of my other cars but was skeptical about putting them on the sti

    I have heard Napa has some good rotors for the STI
