Hey Guys, I just bought the 04 wrb sti from Tray at Topspeed. This is my first Subaru so I'm pretty new to h4 engines and awd. I have an MR2 turbo that I have fully built so I'm no car newb, just a scooby newb. I would love to trade my tinted taillights and sti wing for stock/wrx stuff. The only thing wrong with the car is the center diff is going bad so I'm going to fix that pretty soon. Any advice or walk through's on how to do this would be awesome. Thanks in advance, Ryan
You should be able to pick up a used center diff if you are patient. There was one on NASIOC last week. There is a downloadable service manual at the top of the DIY forum (I think) here. Congrats on the purchase - a great deal.
Man glad 2 know some1 picked up that deal! Welcome! Got sum stage 2parts with ur name all over them! Lol
Welcome I was getting tuned the day before you picked that thing up, as they say: "Such a deal", congrats! Center diff should not even put a dent in the money you saved for what you paid for that car. There are plenty of guys on here that will chime in who can either help you with the install or know someone to do it for you. This is a great community, good to have you on board! Wouldn't mind seeing some Mr2 pic's big fan of those as well.
Welcome man! Good to see you on here. No, his car is black with polished wheels. Its sexy. He's at like every sonic meet.
Hey man, welcome to the site! Was crazy getting home from work and pulling up next to that car haha. i was like, i think that's the one from topspeed. was nice to chat with ya. hope to see ya at some meets soon -OT
Yeah that was really cool talking to you, I should be at the sonic meet thursday with the new subie. I have some old pics of my mr2 if anyone wants to see it. I just redid the engine bay so I don't have any pics of that, and the 5 spoke wheels are what is on it now. Thanks to everyone for the welcomes! I can't wait to get my sti in tip top shape. It needs a little work here and there but for the most part is pretty solid. BTW I'm still looking to trade for stock taillights and a wrx spoiler or no spoiler in wrb.
