This is a dream come true for me, I started my career as an apprentice mechanic two years ago at a small independant import shop in gainesville GA. After about a year working I began taking night classes at gwinnett tech to help me better learn the trade. Both my boss and I came to the decision that working at a dealership would be a good experience for me to have, and was the next step in my career path. I have always enjoyed working on my impreza, so naturally I was very interested in getting a job with subaru. I was also considering BMW, which are also great cars to work on...and I might still move on to BMW down the road, but that won't be for while. Coiencidentally, my classmate's father is the service manager at SOG, he told me that they were looking to hire a new tech. So, I got an interview there about 2 months ago and have been patiently waiting for them to make a descision. I had almost given up when Herb called me and told me the good news! I will be Service Advising on Monday and Saturday and working as a full time tech the rest of the week.
Good job, glad to hear some people are fortnate in these trying times to find a position that they want
congrats! I was wondering how that panned out, I remember seeing you up there feels like forever ago applying!
