but i was driving today in the rain and my car jerked at 4.5 k rpms ( a really big jerk ) and my "at oil temp "light came on and well im worried this a damn new car... ..
this happens on normal raining day.. it happend to my car today also, and over 7 times before last year.. if ur temp light wont go away in 2- 3 days check with a dealer.. or go auto zone to get the obo scanner check it always happens in rain.. i dunno why
yeah man, sounds very strange. your car is new right? take it to the dealer soon, should be under warranty.
well, it was the damn CAI =/ and yes it was the same diameter as stock... i think it was damn rain water.. might just take it out...
everything i've heard about hydro lock is that it's very hard to get it to actually happen from just drivng in rainy weather... something like to got to be practially going thru a large puddle WOT. not sure if this is true or not, but i'm not going to test my luck either.
I had a crazy RPM dance experience once. My CEL came on and I lost all power! So I pulled over, called SS and he told me to reset the ECU. I did, the car was fine and somehow I got the CEL to come on again so that SS could check it, and it turned out to be a #3 cylinder misfire. He said the injectors in some of the newer cars have needed to be replaced and if that ever happened again to come in and get it replaced since it's under warranty.
they just said it was my MAF.... and the at light came on casue of my damn cai.. .i buy it.. but yeah
My turbo-xs intake would cause that to happen when it rained. Just a little water on the maf sensor will cause it to cool off and read incorrectly.
How many miles on the 4EAT and do you launch the car ever? My car gets really pissy at less than a quarter tank of gas and sometimes will act similarly, almost like a fuel cut.
