Ok guys, this scared me pretty bad. Long story short, I was at my moms and started the car in her driveway. We talked for about 10 min and when I went to back up...omg...the car let out white smoke that would make a 74 Pacer jealous. Then it just kept on doing it. I get out and look and notice quite a bit of condensation in the exhaust tip. Now I drove it home, 18 miles, and checked it when I got home and it didn't seem to be smoking. The car had also been sitting for 4 days not driven before driving it to my moms. I don't know if it is still doing it because I haven't driven the car since. I am debating on taking it to the dealer. I also checked the oil level and everything seemed normal....no leaks and no smoke from engine compartment. Any Ideas???
its normal. when the humidity is high and the air cools in the night time it collects inside the exhuast. its all water vapor. many on the board have experenced this. i know it comes out at an alarming rate but rest assured if the oil level and pressure are fine your ok.
I think your muffler bearings might be going out. The smoke is caused by the built up heat from friction. I recomend getting the JDM ball bearing replacments ASAP.:naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
i had the same thing happen to an, but its only on certain weather basis and its very short...its normal dont sweat it.
I appreciate it guys....but boy that sure is a ton of condensation. David, get me those new muffler bearings and some blinker fluid while your at it, go ahead and kill 2 birds with 1 stone!!!!
