Oil squirters for any engine

    :rofl: the 1.6L and 1.8L miata engines have the grooves on the con rods from the factory, they also have nozzles at the bottom of the cylinder bores to spray oil up the cylinder walls and onto the bottom of the pistons and wrist pins.

    the stock sti rods have that notch from the factory except it is in the center on each side and not offset

    I noticed that as well. I am wondering why they chose to offset it in the video.

    I've heard offset slings more oil since it's not in the centerline of the journal.

    interesting

    but i wont be leaving the mill run when i pull and insert parts
    though small - no coolant and what about deburring

    why not just drill and tap the valleys for oil squirters if you really want them that bad.
