Ok i know i have asked you guys' opinions before bout suspension but im FINALLY ready to get the beast lowered!!! Ive been debating for awhile on wether to go with springs or coils. and i think springs is going to be best!!! now that i have my 18's on i want the car to sit a lil lower...but not slammed!! alot of people have told me to go with either Eibach or the Pink STi springs. SO WHAT SHOULD IT BE GUYS? i really need some suggestions cause im hopin to get this done within the next 2 weeks so i can move on to the next stage!! so either respond to this or if i dont happen to get on email me at phatback1313@hotmail.com

Any spring that doesnt mess up the rake of the car is what I vote for. That would be the pinkies.

i dont know..are u just wanting it to look good or are u more performance oriented? tein s techs are nice but i would vote for something a little more stiff

Pinks. Should lower the car a little bit and then make it handle worlds better.

i don't know anything about the eibach's... maybe someone who does will chime in

i realize you don't want it slammed, but with coils you can adjust the ride height to what you want... and boy do they improve the handling! ...downside is the $$$

if you want something that will improve the look of your car... and help some with the handling. go with springs

if you want to greatly improve the handling... go with coils

yeah, you can't beat coilovers (unless you can bribe bose for their electromagnetic harmonic voodoo), whatever you go with, keep in mind that you don't want the control arms resting lower than level, then your hurting the car's perf. (basically what genya said) if you can swing it go with coilovers.

Go Pink.... Probably want to look at getting the TopHats as well if it's in the budget.
Also don't forget the alignment after the installation.

I have seen others with the pinks installed and they did not look slammed, just lowerd a bit. The car handled better too so that's what i may go for on my legacy (sti pinks).

    Three words, Whiteline Flat Outs

S-Techs, or the "Style Master", is for lowering the car, NOT for performance.
H-Techs, or the "Handling Master", is for actually improving handling while lowering.

Another vote for Whiteline Flatouts.... they do have a significant drop though, maybe lower than your looking for. I think Whiteline makes another version thats not as extreme......

I would go with either the Pinks, Prodrive or Whiteline springs, which all seem to greatly improve handling for the STi.

Alex has the flatouts on his car, you could always see if he could give you a ride.

The pinks were what Subaru should of put on the car in the first place. I say with them. If you got with Coils I think it would be a waste of money if you don't track the car alot.

JBLMotorsports.com is having a sale on their Espelir springs for $150 shipped. I'm going to try and pick up a set in the next couple of weeks but they're only for 04+ and I'll have to play with some washers and new strut tops to get them to work.

Active GTs have a spring rate (linear spring like the Prodrives also) along the lines of 250/230 or 280/250, I cant remember exactly.

If you'd like, we can meet up sometime and I'll give you a ride. In about 2 weeks though, they're coming off and I'm throwing my coilovers on :naughty: so, if you'd like, you'll need to catch me before then.
