OT: looking for 2 notebooks

Any recommendations (sorry not a MAC fan)
#1 - ME, lightweight <5.5 lbs, business travel
I heard of good things on ASUS

#2 I also need another for a niece goin to college (xmas / goin away present). $$$ should be less than $750

those things are very nice and light

 

I got a Dell E1505, base model was $699 but i ended up customizing it pretty much to the max and ended up paying around $1250 i think.

I can get an IBM T23 for 325.00! This is the model that SS uses for tuning, actually this is one step newer than his.
