Well here we go. As most of you already know, I am the new owner of Patrick's wrx. I sold my 04 sti in favor of paying off debt, and getting ready to buy a house. I do miss the sti, and it's raw power. However I'm loving the bugeye and haven't looked back. Also got some dents on the trunk and quarter panel fixed. Plans are...not much for now. Maybe a set of wheels. Going to clear/paint the headlights, debadge the grill, and put my stereo in. I'm focusing on getting in a house and all that jazz, and i have a 78 trans am that I'm working on. Now some pics!!
Please dont touch a thing on that car, its set up perfectly for track use and daily driving. Those wheels look great on that color too. You got a the deal of a century.
I give you a :bigthumb: on the car bro I love the look. All I would change is the wheels and retro the headlights but that is in the the works. Oh yeah good luck on the house bro.
Thanks, I don't plan on any serious changes for while. Just some wheels probably. However I'm keeping my eyes open for a 2.5 block. Thanks! Yes sir, gotta have a nice driveway/garage to put her in, damn apt complexes!! Thanks!!! shhhh, thats not mine, but i want a set of those in SBC!!! Thanks man! You know it.
my boy growing up..i miss the sti...but the thought of havin a stil bad ass car and a house is amazing..good luck w/ everything homie! ...
this car is sexy as crap! If you decide to sell those wheels, I will take them! I am looking for a set, but everyone who has them are damaged in some way. how does the suspension ride? I'm moving to Gwinnett this weekend. Can I get a ride?
Negative. Needs Spec C control arms, whiteline offset bushings (hard type) and 2.5 shortblock. THEN its 'done' for the above stated purposes. :naughty:
Negative on the 2.5. 2.0 FTW. If you were still around I'd let you drive mine, it really is the motor that belongs in a WRX.
Negative. I've drive both Type RA versions of the EJ207 (AVCS and non AVCS, one from a version 6 Type RA, the other from a Version 7 Spec C Type RA). While they are nice and rev to 8000 easily, they dont have the earth shattering TQ of the 2.5. The 2.5 with a good set of cams (either stock STi or what not) will destroy the 2.0 any day.
love the new shoes and love the old... i would keep them both.. i think the legacy wheels give it a clean sleeper sort of look while the new shoes give it the in your face.... bump for a great ride
glad to see it is still getting love and attention. i miss ripping it through the gears and hearing the boxer rumble though
Great car I have very similar set up and goals i.e. 6sp or 5sp RA(budget) and full susp. I love those damn legacy wheels on that car, the new one's are clean too but those legacy wheels were bad ass!
in the basement Yes sir, next project is some 2.5 love thanks to everyone for the compliments. I loved the legacy wheels too, just wanted a new look
legacy gt wheels up on craigslist... heres the link for people wandering or looking http://www.importatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184259
bump. took her down to silver dollar today....ran a best of 13.5 @ 99 mph, 1.87 60 ft. I was pretty happy, it was hot and the car didnt wanna hit over 17 lbs..still did good IMO!
I bet if you ran the legacy wheels you would have trapped higher! Which map were you using? What bias was the DCCD set?
The works are actually lighter than the legacy wheels. And i didn't make any changes, ran the daily map, and i never touch the dccd.
^ Yep I would like to go lower, but don't want to affect the handling. Oh well, the new setup should fill in nicely. :naughty:
