I'm trying to resolve some clunking issues from the front end, and could use a photo for comparison. I need a close-up of the front control arm/front subframe mounting point on a GD wrx. I specifically need to see how much (if any) bushing is visible beyond the control arm housing in that joint. Basically...this photo but on a wrx: It will be easiest to see on cars with which the large U-shape subframe has been removed. Thanks
um subaru is having a recall on 300,000 gd's because of front lower control arm failure due to rust. these are rusty. fyi clunking especially when entering a turn is usually a ball joint.
The pic shows 2000 Forester S control arms into 2003 WRX subframe. Not GD control arms. And FWIW this is the tip of the iceburg of rust on this car, as it came from up north. I won't even go into what I've ruled out as far as the clunking goes, I just need the pic as described. Thanks for the reply though, I did not know about the recall.
