Hey guys: Today is my wife's birthday, fortunately it is also the same day we picked up her new TT. She never was into the A3 and my mom is moving to Akin, SC this weekend. So my mom wanted a red Audi. Good news mom, the A3 is all yours! The TT is fairly entry level. It has the premium package, exclusive line (napa leather and colored) Blue tooth, home link and a few other toys. It is aFWD with the 2.0T. It is rated at 200 crank hp but this same motor in many of the Audi VW products put down 200 at the wheels. It feels plenty peppy and with the aluminum pannels and chassis this car is lighter than my GTI so it feels a lot more nimble.
nice choice! my dad also took delivery of his 2.0 DSG coupe in April. even with FWD, the chassis and engine/tranny combo are a freakin blast. very fun experience. love the leather coloration too.
You need these seats in the new TT, they're hot as hades. Baseball stitchin FTW. Pics dont do them justice.
thanks guys, this thing is a blast. I wish it was an 09 with the 265hp 2.0T and quattro. Maybe that will be next. The new TT's have a baseball sitching option but it isn't as nice. It is only on the side bolsters and much smaller sitches. These new seats are great though. Very supportive. Integroid: I have some contacts at APR. Do you work with them or something?
:drool::drool: That car looks damn good...if I was a chick, I think I'd have to buy that in a heartbeat
not out on course funny about the chick comment. I was in it yesterday, headingout to take these pictures when another NEW TT roadster was in front of me, with a chick driving it. I was embarassed for a moment
I was friend's with the owners in college and my old rommate is one of the managers up there. I have a lot of their parts on my suby
I have met him and know of him, but dont really know him. I really dont know any of the new people at APR...Only the core original gang.
Can't beat Audi for interior workmanship and design. I will always question the logic of going for FWD in a two seat roadster, but thats a personal preference. Car looks great! Congrats!
Let me know if you are heading out to their office anytime soon. I've wanted to go see the new facility in person.
