just a quick question... I should have asked you guys this question before i ordered it, but i figured i wasnt gonna be able to order it if i didnt do it right then (missed my chance to buy the unit for $280 shipped so i got anxious and jumped on the current deal)

anyways, my question is, can i connect my USB stick to the HU to play the musics and have direct control? this is what pioneer claims: The AVH-P4000DVD has a female Type A USB 2.0 Full Speed port on an 8" pigtail on the rear panel. You can plug in a USB portable audio player or a USB memory device. This unit is compatible with USB Mass Storage Class compliant portable audio player and memory devices, loaded with MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV files. Up to 15,000 files, 500 folders, and up to 8 tiers can be played back. It can accept memory of 250 MB to 250 GB formatted in FAT32 or FAT16 file system

unfortunately i am very computer-illiterate so i have no idea what above means but i figure it wont hurt to ask about it...

if i can just connect my USB to hold the music that means i wont have to buy an ipod which would be AWESOME

i`m keeping my fingers crossed.. :sx:

Just a word of wisdom to everyone, while this head unit is awesome, and can take any usb stick, it can't read Mac formatted usb sticks.

And mokinbird87, if you figure out how to shut the damn demo off forever, let me know. It's been driving me crazy.

you have to reset it!!! i think it was holding the volume button for a while or using the stylus they provide you, you click on a small tab (it's like a hole) I gotta reset mine because my bro clicked on the rearview camera thing and i dont have a rearview camera so it keeps giving me the error msg haha.

  23. You can disable that rearview camera, I have the exact model in my car. I love it. The only down side to this unit in a wrx is if you get the Bluetooth adapter and sirus adapter, it get kinda difficult to fit it all in the dash. If you have any question about that unit feel free to PM me, I have had a few go arounds with it.
